Hawthorn's initial trade package for Essendon in negotiations over Bombers captain Zach Merrett has been revealed.
The Hawks are understood to have tabled Pick 9, a future first-round pick, a future second-round pick, and young midfielder Henry Hustwaite to the Bombers, per 9 News' Tom Morris.
It's not clear if Merrett would be the sole asset heading the other way in the proposal.
The Bombers have stood firm that Merrett won't be traded, despite their skipper's wishes to join Sam Mitchell's side.

According to afl.com.au, Essendon have responded to the deal, with a spokesperson stating "our position has not changed" and that Merrett won't be traded.
Hustwaite has been a player of interest to Essendon, but his inclusion in the tabled deal might not be enough to appease the Bombers, who would lose a six-time best and fairest winner.
Merrett is also under contract for the next two years, while Hustwaite has a deal with Hawthorn for the next 12 months.
If a deal isn't struck before Wednesday's 7:30pm (AEDT) trade period deadline, Merrett will be held to his contract for the coming season.
It would be a fascinating result given the captain's plea to move to the club's arch-rival, who first met with the star midfielder early into Essendon's off-season.
The Bombers already possess a strong draft hand for next month's AFL Draft, currently holding Picks 5, 6, 21, 27 and 30.
