Hawthorn are set to name Finn Maginness as their latest debutant for Sunday's clash against the Bulldogs.

Maginness, son of Scott, told the club's website he was ecstatic to be given the opportunity

“I‘m over the moon,“ he said, unable to wipe the smile from his face,” he told the club’s website.

“It‘s something I’ve dreamed of for so long, and for it to finally happen... I just can’t wait.

“It‘s a bond that I’ll have with my dad and grandpa forever, given that we’ve all played for the club, we’ve all pulled on the guernsey.

“To be able to say I‘m a third generation Hawk is really awesome and it’s something my family is really proud of.”

Scott Maginness played 131 games for the Hawks, with his father, Norm, playing 64 games for the club in the 1950's.
