The voting for Zero Hanger's 2025 Finals MVP has been locked in after week two of the AFL finals, with no one polling a perfect game, but three stars were close.
Hawthorns Jai Newcombe continues his September dominance as he was posted a near-perfect game, polling 19 out of a total 20 votes. The star Hawk has now taken a 19-vote lead ahead of the next best on the leaderboard.
Forward Jack Gunston polled 16 total votes with his five-goal haul on Friday night, while midfielder Josh Ward pulled in 11 votes with his team-high 31 disposals.
All three were important in the Hawks' big 34-point victory in Adelaide, and will look to continue their impressive September against the Cats on Friday Night.
A pair of Brisbane Lions midfielders, Josh Dunkley and Will Ashcroft, both polled 17 votes, which takes Dunkley to second place and Ashcroft to sixth place on our leaderboard.
Captain Harris Andrews also polled a solid 10 votes with his control in defence, which now sees him reach 12th on our leaderboard.
Matthew Rowell was the only player to record a vote from a losing side over the weekend, as he recorded one vote, which sees him currently rank 10th on the leaderboard.
Geelong's Oliver Dempsey and Mark Blicavs are still in the top 10 alongside Collingwood's Darcy Moore and Jordan De Goey, who all have a chance to poll this week.
Each week of this finals series, four Zero Hanger judges will give 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 votes on every game, with votes in the 2025 AFL Grand Final to be worth double.
