Port Adelaide have suffered another injury setback ahead of Round 11, with defender Esava Ratugolea ruled out of this weekend's meeting with Fremantle.

The Power have taken a "precautionary measure" after Ratugolea recorded hamstring tightness in the wake of the club's loss to Geelong.

The injury isn't expected to see Ratugolea miss further matches, with the Power scheduled for a bye in Round 12 before a meeting with GWS.

"Esava Ratugolea has been ruled out of this weekend's Sir Doug Nicholls Round clash against Walyalup," a club update read.

"The key defender will sit out as a precautionary measure, after detecting some minor tightness in his hamstring.

"Ratugolea is expected to be available for the GWS game, straight after the bye."

The setback to Ratugolea comes after the Power confirmed similar injuries for midfielder Jason Horne-Francis and defender Lachie Jones, who are both expected to miss at least a month.

The Power could also lose flanker Josh Sinn to a hip injury that forced him to be subbed out of the game against Geelong, meaning the Power could be left to make a quartet of changes ahead of Saturday's clash with the Dockers.

Port Adelaide will confirm their squad for Round 11 on Thursday night at 6:20pm (AEST) before final sides are revealed an hour prior to Saturday's 7:35pm bounce at Optus Stadium.
