Port Adelaide defender Matthew Broadbent has reportedly suffered a minor pre-season setback, with a hamstring injury set to sideline the 26-year-old for around two weeks.
However, he is expected to be fit in time for the side's round one clash with Sydney at the SCG.
"He might be a couple of weeks, he's got a bit of a hamstring issue at the moment," Port Adelaide midfield coach Michael Voss said.
"The great thing with (Broadbent) is that this is the first rehab session that he's ever had in his career.
"You can guarantee one thing – he won't be there that long.
"He's a true pro and he'll be back pretty soon."
Broadbent, who signed a four-year contract extension in 2015, played 21 games in 2016, averaging 19 disposals, 7.2 contested possessions, 4.2 intercepts and 5.6 marks.
