GWS has welcomed back Robbie Chancellor to the club after he was sacked two years ago following his arrest for drug possession.

Reports in January, 2023 revealed that Chancellor was found with a white substance, to which he admitted to police that he had purchased.

Nearly 24 months on, the Giants coach has been reappointed to assist Adam Kingsley's coaching staff.

Chancellor will return to the GWS coaching cohort after a successful stint in the AFL Sydney competition, where he was named Coach of the Year.

He also spent time at Hawthorn, Melbourne and St Kilda, as well as the Coates Talent League side Western Jets, and VFL club Port Melbourne.

Joining Chancellor is Jackson Dennis, who will be the Giants' Head of High Performance.

Deniis crosses from Fremantle, where he spent the last decade within the performance team.

Giants EGM of Football Jason McCartney was excited by the prospect of what the duo would bring to the club.

"We're really pleased to have both Jackson and Robbie join the GIANTS," McCartney said.

"Jackson has developed an outstanding reputation across his decade at Fremantle, and we're excited to see how he can further enhance our high-performance program here at the club.

"Robbie's coaching experience spans all levels of the game and demonstrates his ability to connect with the players and foster a high-performing environment.

"Both bring diverse experience, high standards and fresh perspectives that will add great value to our football program as we continue to grow and evolve."

The pair will commence with the club in November.

The Giants have had a major overhaul of their coaching staff, farewelling Jeremy Laidler and Jack Harvey.

Laidler returned to the Swans after three years with GWS, while Harvey opted not to look at extending his time at the expansion side.
The Giants' coaching team under Kingsley still includes Brett Montgomery, Ben Hart, Craig Jennings, Shane Mumford, Wayne Cripps, Alicia Eva, Trent Dennis-Lane and Jason Davenport.
