GWS will remain without star midfielder Tom Green for another fortnight as he deals with a hamstring issue, while young onballer Finn Callaghan is no certainty to face Gold Coast this weekend.

Both Green and Callaghan were omitted from last week's side that claimed a famous win over Adelaide in South Australia, with the latter a late out for Adam Kingsley's side due to a hip concern.

The Giants have confirmed Callaghan is battling a hip flexor injury and was given until the final hour to play against the Crows, however the club were forced into pulling the trigger on a late swap with Aaron Cadman.

While Green will need another two weeks in his recovery, Callaghan will face fitness tests over the coming days prior to Round 19 as he looks to cement his selection chances.

Elsewhere, defender Lachie Keeffe is two weeks away with his own hamstring injury, while Braydon Preuss (back) and Xavier O'Halloran (thumb) require at least five more weeks of rehabilitation.

Young utility Cooper Hamilton's return from a foot setback remains unclear.

A win against the Suns this weekend will see GWS move into the top eight and collect their sixth straight victory since Round 13. The Giants were last in the top eight in Round 1 following their first win over Adelaide.

GWS host Gold Coast at Manuka Oval on Sunday at 1:10pm (AEST).
