GWS Giants teenager Jack Ough has re-signed with the club for a further two seasons.
It extends his stay at Engie Stadium until at least the end of the 2028 season after he was taken by GWS with Pick 36 in the 2024 AFL National Draft.
The Wentworth junior pieced together a promising, but injury-interrupted first season in the VFL, averaging 24 disposals and six tackles as a big-bodied midfielder from nine games.
Ough was drafted following a brilliant season for GWV Rebels in 2024, when he played a starring role in the club's run to the Coates Talent League grand final.
Giants executive general manager of football, Jason McCartney, said it was fantastic to extend Ough's tenure.
“Jack has shown he's got some elite qualities and we're really excited about his potential,” McCartney said.
“He performed really strongly for our VFL side this year as an 18-year-old and we think with another big pre-season under his belt he can take some more big steps in his development.
“Since arriving at the club this time last year he's applied himself remarkably well and I'm sure with his attitude and talent he'll be looking to put himself right in the mix for senior opportunities next year.”
