The 25-year-old Melbourne forward Jack Henderson, who joined the Demons via the pre-season supplemental selection period, has signed on to extend his time with the club.

Henderson played five games for the AFL side, debuting in Round 1 against the Giants.

Coming off a VFL premiership with Werribee last season, Henderson put himself on the radar of AFL clubs with strong showings and was given an opportunity by the Demons.

Demons list manager Tim Lamb spoke to Melbourne Demons media about the re-signing

“We're pleased to be able to offer Jack another contract and extend his time in the red and blue,” Lamb said.

“We've been really impressed by Jack since he walked through our doors earlier this year. He's a competitor, with a great attitude and energy, and we're looking forward to his continued development into 2026.”

Henderson's season was interrupted by a groin injury, which saw him miss a significant portion of the season. He averaged 10 disposals across his five games with the AFL side and featured in 10 games for the Demons VFL side.

The forward will look to solidify his spot in the Demons' side for 2026 under new coach Steven King
