Former St Kilda coach Grant Thomas certainly doesn't hesitate in sharing his opinions on hot topics in the AFL via his Twitter account.
This time he has given the North Melbourne Football Club a massive whack for deciding to not offer club veterans Brent Harvey, Drew Petrie, Michael Firrito and Nick Dal Santo new contracts for 2017.
His multi-Tweet tirade took particular issue with the timing of the announcement, with finals just around the corner and the Roos limping into September action.
How could a decision "in the best interests of the footy club" announce the termination of key players a week out from finals? Baffled!

It's a long bow to draw that the decision was based around a reverse psychology strategy for a last ditched effort to blitz in finals.

Other than that it's insanity.

If u want 1 fool proof way to rip the living guts out of your teams spirit & morale, isolate the heart of team & sack them before last game

What is it when u get massively in front of yourself? You know, you have a deluded view of the future. Complete denial on ability 2 deliver

didt he sack a player Capuano mid season cos he played a bad game?

Mathews body was stuffed & so he would still get his total money for the year grant sacked him.
If he had have retired he would have got less money.
