Gold Coast has handed its 2025 top draftee Zeke Uwland an AFL debut in Friday's game against Geelong.
Uwland graduated from the Suns' academy program, joining his older brother, Bodhi, at the expansion club.
The reigning Pick 2 has impressed over the summer months, and is set to play on the wing, showcasing his running ability and clean ball use, which has him likened to Sydney's Errol Gulden.
"We are thrilled to see Zeke earn the opportunity to debut in our season opener against Geelong," Gold Coast SUNS General Manager of Football Craig Cameron said.
"Zeke has worked incredibly hard over the summer to embed himself into our system and prepare himself to take this step when the opportunity presented.
"It's fantastic to see another young Gold Coast talent from our Academy earn the opportunity to live out his football dream in front of his family and friends at home."
Uwland becomes the 25th Suns academy graduate to debut for the club.
Christian Petracca is set to debut for his new club after he was traded from Melbourne over the off-season.
Jamarra Ugle-Hagan is firmly in the frame to feature in the Suns' line-up on Friday, which was enhanced after Jed Walter accepted his one-match suspension for his bump last week.
Gold Coast will announce their full team on Thursday, 5:20pm (AEST).
