The Gold Coast Suns have been told to look to bring in a ready-made superstar at the end of the season.

Western Bulldogs legend Brad Johnson believes the time could be now for the Suns to go after a big name in exchange for their first draft pick in the 2021 national draft.

The Suns have shown some improvement this year, especially over the last month. However, they were bitterly disappointing when overrun by Brisbane in the second half of the Q-Clash on Saturday afternoon.

“It has to be an absolute star that allows them to go with this strategy of giving up their pick. Otherwise, if they can’t land that, keep your pick and keep building away.”

Foxfooty.com.au senior reporter Tom Morris recently said that the Suns could be willing to part with the pick at the end of the season after years of heavily investing in the draft. Possibly another key forward to support Ben King.
