Let's get ready to rumble!!!
On Monday, the AFL released a short video on their Facebook page about the upcoming AFLX competition, which is set to debut in mid-February.
One user in particular seemed unimpressed by the AFLX idea, and instead trying to convince the AFL to partake in something a little more physical and violent.
In a comment which now has over 500 likes, the fan asked for the AFL to opt for a "Royal Rumble/Hell in the Cell WWF style match, with one representative from each team."
The fan also asked for the winner of the fight to have his side elevated straight into the top four ahead of the new season, which would be sure to engage viewers if a place for the double chance was on the line.
So, although this would never happen given the number of fatalities that would come from the event, we thought we'd have a little fun, and try to nominate one player from each club who could lead their side in the fight.
At the bottom of the article is a poll, whoever leads the votes by the end of the week will be crowned your champion, and we will reveal the vote on Friday afternoon.
Vote away!
The competitors
Adelaide - Taylor Walker
One of the biggest forwards in the competition, who is sure to strike fear into any opponent.
Brisbane - Mitch Robinson
Not the biggest guy, but one of the toughest and roughest players in the AFL.
Carlton - Levi Casboult
Easily Carlton's most physically imposing player, Casboult would be a tough man to bring down.
Collingwood - Mason Cox
We're not sure about his strength, but given he's the biggest man in the fight, he'll be tough to get on top of.
Essendon - Michael Hurley
A tough defender who won't take anything from anyone.
Fremantle - Hayden Ballantyne
The smallest man in the fight, but rule him out at your own peril.
Geelong - Tom Hawkins
One of Geelong's strongest players, and his MRP record actually bodes well in this arena.
Gold Coast - Steven May
One of the veterans on Gold Coast's lists, and built as one of the biggest in the league.
GWS - Toby Greene
A very tough nut, Greene wouldn't be afraid to go after anyone, and would welcome any challengers.
Hawthorn - James Sicily
He may not look like it, but the young Hawk loves a scuffle.
Melbourne - Nathan Jones
One of the toughest players in the competition bar none, Jones' never say die attitude would work in his favour.
North Melbourne - Braydon Preuss
Close to the biggest ruckman in the competition and also one of the most agile, which could be a deadly combination for his opponents.
Port Adelaide - Charlie Dixon
One of the game's toughest forwards to come up against, and will be tough to stop when he's up and running.
Richmond - Dustin Martin
Possibly the strongest man in the game, good luck getting him down.
St Kilda - Jake Carlisle
Another player who loves a little niggle, watch out for Carlisle in this one.
Sydney - Lance Franklin
There isn't much he can't do, so he'd probably be great at this as well.
West Coast - Jack Darling
Maybe not West Coast's biggest, but has something about him that could see him as the dark horse.
Western Bulldogs - Marcus Adams
One of the biggest, strongest defenders in the competition, another man who would be tough to bring down.
