GWS look set to take a near-full-strength side into their run home, with coach Adam Kingsley providing an update on defender Jack Buckley on Thursday night.
Buckley was subbed out of the eventual win over Essendon at Marvel Stadium for tactical reasons, which still came with some alarm following his recent ankle injury.
The key defender has managed to play the past month despite the ailment, with Kingsley having commended the backman to get his body right for last week's game against Geelong and their Round 19 trip to Melbourne.
Kingsley saw the second half of the contest against Essendon as a chance to manage Buckley, with the Giants holding a 37-point lead at the main break.
"He rolled his ankle against West Coast badly," Kingsley said of Buckley post-game.
"He did a fantastic job to get up to play against the Cats last week, then a five-day break into this game.
"We thought we'd try and get him a little bit extra (rest). Now we've got an eight-day break into Sydney, so he's got plenty of time.
"Does it make a difference, an extra 40 minutes? I don't know, maybe."
The Giants are set to see a cavalry of key players ready for next week's Sydney Derby against the Swans, buoying their prospects for a top eight finish with five games to go.
Star defender Sam Taylor (toe), key forward Jesse Hogan (managed) and veteran midfielder Josh Kelly (managed) are all expected to take on the Swans on Friday.
The trio of inclusions will force Kingsley into further changes to his side, with young forward Max Gruzewski likely to make way despite a promising performance against the Bombers.
"We typically play only the three (tall forwards)," Kingsley added.

"Max stepped in for Jesse tonight, as he did against West Coast when Jesse missed that game. He contributed with a couple of goals, and we think he's a pretty promising player.
"But Jesse Hogan, Jake Riccardi and Aaron Cadman are the three we've used for the most part."
The Giants face just one top-eight side - Gold Coast - in their final six games of the season.
With matches to come against the Swans and Western Bulldogs, Kingsley's well aware of the tight fight the club will still have to secure its own finals spot.
"We've still got a lot of work to do in order to qualify," the GWS coach said.
"It would appear there's nine teams who could make it, maybe 10 with the Swans, and we play them this week.
"We haven't beaten them for a little while, so we're pretty keen to rectify that, and we're looking forward to that game on Friday night."
The Giants sit fourth on the ladder after their latest win, but could fall to as low as eighth by the end of the weekend.
