GWS coach Leon Cameron is confident that out-of-contract star Stephen Coniglio will re-sign with the club in the next month.
The 25-year old enters restricted free agency at the end of the season, with the likes of Hawthorn and Carlton keen to lure him back to Victoria.
However, Cameron was happy with how contract talks were progressing between the gun midfielder and the Giants.
"The dialogue that we're having has been really pleasing. As I said earlier in the year with [recently re-signed midfielder] Josh Kelly, that dialogue was fantastic, and we've seen what Josh has done," Cameron told Fox Footy's AFL360.
"Stephen is the same. I wouldn't be surprised over the next month [if] that comes to fruition.
"He's a loyal person, he's got a great family background, he's been there from the start and I'm really confident that's going to happen."
The former No. 2 pick is expected to line-up for this weekend's clash against the Suns despite suffering a corked knee against Melbourne.
The injury restricted Coniglio to just 16 disposals as the Giants took down the Demons by 26 points on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.
โHeโs pulled up pretty well,โ Cameron said.
โIt was right on his knee bone โ and clearly heโs so tough. A couple of weeks ago he was playing with (an injured) finger and in the end I had to pull him out because he wanted to play.
โHeโs been fantastic for us. We all know his character, we all know his ability to play offence and defence and put his head over the footy is such a great quality.โ
