Our Rookie Rankings are still welcoming fresh faces with less than a month left in the home and away season, with a Cats rookie breaking into our top eight for the first time in 2024.

Round 21's changes have seen a mature-aged Geelong recruit enter our rankings while a Lions forward jumps two spots following a strong Sunday outing.

Another Cat headlines the chasing pack with three rounds remaining as he and a Suns midfielder stand a chance to snatch a spot before the season concludes.

Selection Criteria: For our Rookie Rankings, we are ONLY selecting players who have made their debut this season.

Other players who may still be eligible for a Rising Star nomination but have already made their debut before the 2024 season will not be considered. I.e. Rising Star eligible players such as George Wardlaw, Angus Sheldrick and Sam Darcy are ineligible, having already played an AFL match before Round 1, 2024.

Honourable Mentions:
Archie Roberts (Essendon)
Will Graham (Gold Coast)
Seth Campbell (Richmond)
Darcy Jones (GWS)

1. Harley Reid (-)

17 disposals - 14 by hand - had Reid put up a 94% disposal efficiency rate in Friday's win over the Suns while still finding the ball at the contest on 11 occasions.

Reid added four clearances and six tackles to his stat line, which was brought down by seven free kicks against in a fiery affair at Optus Stadium.

The No.1 pick was again in the thick of it but stepped up on the odd occasion when the game was on the line.

Reid and the Eagles head to Tasmania this weekend to face North Melbourne for what looms as another winnable affair.
