Our Rookie Rankings are still welcoming fresh faces with less than a month left in the home and away season, with a Cats rookie breaking into our top eight for the first time in 2024.
Round 21's changes have seen a mature-aged Geelong recruit enter our rankings while a Lions forward jumps two spots following a strong Sunday outing.
Another Cat headlines the chasing pack with three rounds remaining as he and a Suns midfielder stand a chance to snatch a spot before the season concludes.
Selection Criteria: For our Rookie Rankings, we are ONLY selecting players who have made their debut this season.
Other players who may still be eligible for a Rising Star nomination but have already made their debut before the 2024 season will not be considered. I.e. Rising Star eligible players such as George Wardlaw, Angus Sheldrick and Sam Darcy are ineligible, having already played an AFL match before Round 1, 2024.Â
Honourable Mentions:
Archie Roberts (Essendon)
Will Graham (Gold Coast)
Seth Campbell (Richmond)
Darcy Jones (GWS)
2. Caleb Windsor (-)
An ankle injury has unfortunately placed the rest of the young Demon's season in doubt, with Windsor missing Friday's loss to the Western Bulldogs and potentially requiring a finals berth to play again this year.
The injury could end a fruitful first campaign for Windsor, who looks set to hold down a wing role in the red and blue for the next decade.
