Geelong's trade focus has narrowed on Tanner Bruhn and Ollie Henry after Jacob Hopper's choice to nominate Richmond as his desired club, per reports from Channel 7’s Mitch Cleary.
Hopper reportedly requested a trade to Punt Road earlier in the week, with both Richmond and Geelong trying to lure him from the Giants over previous weeks.
Fellow Giant Bruhn, who made his debut for the club in 2021 and has since played 30 games, has also been tipped to depart the club. The Geelong Grammar product was drafted with pick 12 in the 2020 national draft, with the Cats now keen to see him return home just two seasons into his career.
The club is also reportedly keen to snag Henry from Collingwood, who like Bruhn, was picked up in the 2020 national draft.
The 20-year-old has managed 15 matches in black and white so far this season, kicking 21 goals. With brother Jack a regular feature in Chris Scott's side, the young forward's potential move down the highway has been widely speculated.
Per Cleary's report, the Cats' trade focus is now squarely on the two young locals as they ready for a busy October off the field.
Both Bruhn and Henry remain out of contract for the 2023 season.
