From guernsey choices to strange hairdos, Jack Ginnivan's decision to don a stylish ring on his finger during a game has inspired a deep-dive into some of the AFL's top wardrobe malfunctions.

Ginnivan was outed by a Pies fan on social media, prompting the league to intervene with a warning.

The questionable decision doesn't stand alone over the years, and this article takes you through some less-than-memorable wardrobe choices.

3. Sticky mitts: The Cloke glove

Collingwood key forward Travis Cloke was fined $1500 for his use an illegal glove.

He wore the glove to protect two damaged fingers on his right hand.

However, the league assessed the glove and found it non-compliant with the rules.

The-then Pies director of football Neil Balme said it was Cloke's responsibility to ensure it was ticked off by the AFL.
