From guernsey choices to strange hairdos, Jack Ginnivan's decision to don a stylish ring on his finger during a game has inspired a deep-dive into some of the AFL's top wardrobe malfunctions.

Ginnivan was outed by a Pies fan on social media, prompting the league to intervene with a warning.

The questionable decision doesn't stand alone over the years, and this article takes you through some less-than-memorable wardrobe choices.

8. The Hairdo: Lobster, Good Friday and painted Blue

Rory Lobb is quite easy to spot given his height of over two metres, but his bold hairdos can be seen from outer space.

Lobb has trialled some bold statements on his dome, making the use out of his last name to don a red lobster on his head.

The Bulldogs defender also had the Good Friday Appeal logo planted on the back of his head, while a dyed blue and green pill has also featured on the football field.

"I'm kind of apathetic towards it, really," coach Luke Beveridge said in April last year.

"I mean, we all think differently, don't we, as human beings.

"And Rory, he doesn't mind the attention. He's obviously been able to back it up.

"He's playing some pretty good footy, so I'm just trying to stay out of his way."
