Fremantle ruckman Zac Clarke is expected to sign a new deal with the Dockers as early as next week.

The free agent had been the speculation of several trade rumours this season as he came out of contract, however, he opted not to pursue a move, agreeing to terms on a new deal with the club, after receiving little serious interest  from rival clubs.

The 26-year-old, who has played 101 games in eight seasons, is expected to finalise what will be a three-year deal early next week.

Meanwhile, the career of midfielder Michael Barlow remains in limbo, after failing to find a new home during the trade period.

Barlow is out of contract and appears unlikely to earn a new deal from the Dockers, leaving the pre-season draft as the best alternative to continuing his career.

The 28-year-old has played 126 games in seven seasons with Fremantle.
