Foundation Gold Coast Suns player, Brandon Matera, looks likely to seek a trade at season's end.

The 25-year-old will reportedly seek a fresh start at the end of the year, according to AFL.com.au, after struggling to cement his spot in the senior side.

Matera, a highly rated small forward when he began his career, has kicked 124 goals in 101 games with the Suns.

However, inconsistency and minor injuries have seen him in and out of the side at times over the past few seasons.

He played his first game for 2017 in round three, booting six goals, before playing the next 10 games. However, a foot injury has seen him sidelined for the majority of the past eight weeks.

He is out of contract and is sure to attract plenty of interest from rival clubs, particularly in his home state of Western Australia.

Matera was recruited in 2010 as a 17-year-old access selection.
