Delisted Hawthorn forward Jasper Scaife is the latest AFL-NFL convert, signing with college outfit Notre Dame as a punter.

Scaife joined the Hawks via the 2024 MSD with Pick 5 as an exciting key forward, but fell behind the likes of Calsher Dear, Jack Gunston, Mitch Lewis and Mabior Chol.

The West Perth product played 27 games for Box Hill in the VFL during his time in Victoria, booting 45 goals.

However, on social media, Scaife announced his next move after his AFL stint.

"I am profoundly grateful and deeply humbled to announce my commitment to the University of Notre Dame as a student-athlete. I am full of excitement for this incredible opportunity," an Instagram statement read.

"Thanks to everyone who played a role in making this happen.

"Above all, I recognise that none of this is possible without God.

"Go Irish ☘️"

It is understood that Scaife committed to special teams coordinator Marty Biagi and will have a full four years of eligibility upon arrival in South Bend.

The 21-year-old replaces fellow Australian punter James Rendell, who spent the past two seasons at the Irish.
