Former Essendon and Brisbane forward Damian Cupido has brought up a magic milestone in local footy, booting 100 goals in a season with Kyabram and District Football League club Girgarre.
Cupido has pieced together a dominant season with the Kangaroos, including a haul of 16 goals against Longwood in April.
On Saturday, needing at least 13 goals to bring up the century against the same oppoent, the 40-year-old booted 14.8 in his side's final game of the home and away season to be swarmed by teammates and fans on the field.
During the celebrations, Cupido was handed, and quickly finished, a chocolate milk before continuing his dominant display.
The 100-goal milestone was the fifth time the former Bombers and Lions player amassed the benchmark at the local level, including a 132-goal season with the Brock-Burrum Saints in the Hume League.
The 98-point win over Longwood also saw Girgarre clinch a finals spot in the KDFNL senior division, with an elimination final against Shepparton East scheduled for their opening week of the post-season.
Cupido made his AFL debut in 2000 with the Lions, playing 13 games in three years before joining Essendon ahead of the 2003 season.
With the Bombers he'd play 40 games for a return of 50 goals, ending his career in 2005 after being delisted by Essendon following a battle with injury and form.
