Although the Eagles have been rumoured to potentially lose key players in 2025, numerous rivals could trade their current uniform for wings and join the biggest club out west. With multiple first-round draft picks and the always-enticing pull of home, West Coast could be big players in the 2025 AFL trade period.

Likely to hold Pick 1 come season's end, the Eagles could also receive Pick 2 for compensation if skipper Oscar Allen departs, while following Round 14 the Eagles also hold Picks 14, 19, 32, and 50, three of those tied to Hawthorn's ladder-position after receiving them in the Tom Barrass deal.

With plenty of stock to deal with and a desperate desire to improve their list, who should the Eagles target in the off-season?

Here are five trade and free agency targets for West Coast to consider this year...

The fringe Lions midfielder looked destined to request a trade back to his home state, but remained in maroon, blue and gold for 2025. With limited opportunities still in the reigning premiers' line-up, as well as the pull of home, Robertson could depart for WA in the off-season.

While Robertson's manager said the 23-year-old was open to exploring his options, no club was ever specifically linked by his manager; however, it was reported West Coast held the most interest in Robertson's talents.

The 2023 grand final player would add hard-running depth to West Coast's midfield and would be afforded more opportunity to play at the top flight, as he currently remains squeezed out of Brisbane's stacked core.

Robertson is out of contract at the close of the season, and in a similar scenario to Phillips, the Eagles may have to cough up a draft selection unless Robertson is delisted from Brisbane at season's end.
