Essendon champion and former skipper Dyson Heppell is the latest AFL player to head into the jungle for reality TV show I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
Heppell retired from the AFL after 14 seasons with the Bombers, where he played 253 games and led the club from 2017 to 2022.
He was an All-Australian and Crichton Medallist in 2014, as well as the Rising Star winner in 2011.
Heppell continued his playing career at VFL club Port Melbourne in 2025, and has recently joined Collingwood in a development coaching role.
Taking to social media, the 33-year-old announced his next venture, where he'll compete for his chosen charity, Very Special Kids.
