Sturt forward and former Fremantle player Tom Emmett has accepted a one-game suspension for an off-the-ball bump on Glenelg star Corey Lyons.
The incident in question occurred in the opening term of Sunday's affair at Unley Oval, with Emmett flooring his opponent away from play.
Lyons, who used to be listed with Brisbane, was able to continue in the match.
Emmett's actions were graded as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a one-game base sanction.
The ex-Docker accepted the penalty on Tuesday, which rules him out of Sturt's Round 6 clash with North Adelaide.
The small forward will next be available when the Double Blues return to Thomas Farms Oval on May 24 to host the Adelaide Crows.
Emmett returned to Sturt ahead of the 2025 season after two years with Fremantle, having been handed an AFL contract with the Western Australian club via the 2022 AFL Draft.
The 23-year-old played 15 games in purple, 13 of which came in the 2024 season, with Emmett booting seven goals for the year.
He would end last year with WAFL affiliate Peel Thunder, featuring in the club's premiership victory.
Emmett has played five games in the SANFL this season, booting seven goals from an average of 14.8 disposals per game in Sturt's undefeated start to 2025.
