Former Geelong player Mark Yeates is expected to be charged by Police after a domestic violence incident late last year, according to radio network 3AW.
3AW has reported that Yeates, who played 154 games for the Cats between 1980 and 1990, was arrested at his home in November 2015 and will likely be charged with recklessly causing injury after he was involved in an altercation with wife.
It is believed Yeates' teenage stepdaughter called Police.
Yeates' wife reportedly suffered several injuries and is receiving ongoing treatment.
