Former Western Bulldogs forward Charlie Clarke will suit up for standalone VFL side Port Melbourne on Sunday against GWS in his first outing with the Borough.
Clarke has spent the season so far at the local with the Port Melbourne Colts, whom he joined over the off-season after two years with the Bulldogs.
The 21-year-old was recently added to the Borough's list and is set for his first game back in the VFL this weekend when the Giants host Port Melbourne in Albury.
Clarke played 37 VFL games for Footscray in across his two seasons on the Dogs' list, booting 36 as he continued to press his case for a debut.
The Sandringham Dragons product broke through for his first game last year against Hawthorn in May, but wouldn't appear again at the top level.
Having since left Whitten Oval, Clarke has played five games in the Southern Football Netball League with the Colts, booting 12 goals and featuring among his side's best performers on four occasions.
He links up with the Port Melbourne VFL unit searching for their third win in seven matches, with the club sitting 16th on the ladder heading into Round 9.
The addition of Clarke adds to a strong signing spree for the Borough dating back to the start of the off-season, with fellow recruits Dyson Heppell, Tex Wanganeen, Charlie Lazzaro, James Van Es, Dom Bedendo, Ajang Kuol Mun and Patrick Farrant set to face GWS this week.
The Giants currently sit atop the VFL ladder, claiming six wins for the season so far.
