West Coast coach Adam Simpson has hinted there will be several changes to his side for next week's clash with GWS, following today's huge loss to Essendon.
The Eagles were belted to the tune of 61 points by a rampant Bombers side at Etihad Stadium, further highlighting their troubles when playing in Victoria.
"We've got lots of players coming back, East Perth had a really good win on the weekend and there were probably five or six players who played pretty well in that game who we can look at," Simpson said.
"You've got to [make changes] when you have a performance like that."
Simpson admitted the loss was somewhat of a wake up call for the club.
"We're 6-3 and bitterly disappointed in everyone. We've reflected on a few things we'll keep in-house and we've got some work to do. We're an average side and we're fighting for a spot in the eight. That's where we're at, you've got to be honest," he said.
"Every team has gone through little moments like this; how we respond is what we need to look at.
"Good sides handle pressure and then they respond. Everything we tried today didn't work and we've got some work to do.
"Going forward, how do we become consistent in effort and intent? It's something we need to get right because the gap between our best and worst is too inconsistent and it starts with our leaders."
The Eagles return to Domain Stadium next Sunday afternoon, when they host Greater Western Sydney, who currently sit second on the ladder, with seven wins and two losses.
West Coast now sit fourth with six wins and three losses, but a percentage of just 103.2.
