Port Adelaide has confirmed its playing list for the 2026 SANFL season, with club-tied draft talent Dougie Cochrane among the new additions for the Magpies.
Viewed as a Pick 1 contender for this year's intake, Cochrane is a member of the Power's Next Generation Academy and has spent his junior career with Central District.
The son of ex-player Stuart and younger brother to current Power forward Tom, Cochrane will look to follow in their footsteps at Alberton.
The 196cm teenager is capable of playing through midfield or as a forward target, with his starring talent on display at the U18s SANFL level last season.
"It's exciting to have Dougie in our program," Magpies coach Jacob Surjan said of Cochrane in a statement.
"To coach and to watch him develop for this year will be great. He's a lovely kid who is happy to do anything the team and the coaches need of him.
"I'm looking forward to seeing what he can produce this year."
Teenager Dakota Sterzl has also linked up with the Power following a promising year at South Adelaide. The 19-year-old played a dozen league games for the Panthers after making his debut the year prior.
Remaining with the Magpies is former Gold Coast flanker Jez McLennan, who finished runner-up in the 2025 A.R. McLean Medal count to Jack Watkins, who has since been promoted to Port Adelaide's AFL list.
Fellow top six best and fairest finishers Nick Moore and Jake Weidemann have also re-signed for 2026.
