Carlton have landed Sydney defender Nic Newman, for a future fourth round selection.
Newman has played 31 games for the Swans over his two seasons at the club, but could only manage 11 games this season.

Over the course of his short career, Newman averaged 19.3 disposals, 5.o marks and 3.5 tackles per game.
