Carlton have traded the rights of South Australian state league player Nathan Krueger to Geelong, in exchange for their third round pick (currently 42).

Krueger is a 19-year-old forward from South Adelaide who kicked 22 goals this season, and has been selected by the Blues as one of their state-league players, after the AFL allowed the Blues to select two such players this off-season.

The Cats used a pick they received from Brisbane for Lincoln McCarthy, in a trade that was sealed inside the opening hour of free agency.
