Sturt midfield star Tom Lewis has capped a dominant 2025 SANFL campaign by claiming the league's highest individual honour, the Magarey Medal, on Monday night.
Having already won The Advertiser Player of the Year, the SANFL Now Player of the Year and the R.O. Shearman Medal, Lewis made it a clean sweep of the individual awards with his Magarey triumph.
The standout player in Sturt's incredible 17-1 home and away season, Lewis earned 33 votes to finish 10 votes clear of returning Eagle Kobe Mutch.
Sturt teammate Will Snelling finished third on 21 votes from just 13 matches, while Norwood's Nik Rokahr (18) and Billy Cootee (17), and Glenelg's Jarryd Lyons (17), rounded out the top five.
After suffering numerous injury setbacks in recent years, Lewis managed to play all 18 home and away matches this season as the mainstay in an injury-hit midfield unit
With the likes of Will Snelling, James Battersby, Jared Dakin and Mitch Crowden all battling with injury throughout the year, Lewis led the way to average 26 disposals, seven clearances, eight tackles and five inside 50s per game.
The Bullocking midfielder polled votes in 13 of his 18 games and earned maximum votes on eight occasions, including five best-on-ground performances in a row through the middle of the season.
Former Bomber Kobe Mutch returned to the Eagles this year after spending two years at South Adelaide and made the early running after a strong start to the year.
The 188cm midfielder polled in nine of his first 10 games, including four best-on-ground displays, but suffered as the Eagles struggled in the back half of the year.
Last year's joint-winner Will Snelling again polled strongly to tally 21 votes, including six best-on-grounds in the opening nine rounds, before persistent knee troubles ended his season.
Former AFL star Jarryd Lyons featured prominently in his first season back at the Tigers, while Nik Rokahr and Billy Cootee polled heavily as the leading forces in Norwood's mid-year revival.
Port Adelaide mid-season recruit Mani Liddy finished with 14 votes despite missing eight games with AFL duties, while SANFL-listed Magpie Jack Watkins' outstanding season was reflected in a tally of 15 votes.
Billy Dowling's late-season charge saw him emerge as the Crows' top vote-getter with 12, while ruckman Lachie McAndrew's dominant campaign earned him eight votes.
