The Western Bulldogs will blood forward their third debutant of the 2022 season, with forward Dominic Bedendo confirmed to line up against the Lions on Thursday night.

Bedendo, who joined the Dogs as 55th overall selection in the 2020 National Draft, has bided his time in the VFL since landing at the Kennel, playing nine games for Footscray this year, with his past fortnight sure to have impressed coaches.

Standing at 191cm, Bedendo was recruited by the Bulldogs as an intercept defender and has since developed into an attacking option for the Bulldogs.

In a video posted to the club's social media channels on Tuesday, the Bulldogs announced Bedendo's debut to the playing group at training.

"I don't have words to explain how I'm feeling right now," Bedendo said on learning the selection news.

"[I'm] so grateful and can't wait for the opportunity."

The Myrtleford product will join mature-aged recruit Robbie McComb and rookie Luke Cleary in making his debut in the blue, white and red this year.

The Bulldogs will make the trip to Queensland to face the Lions at the Gabba on Thursday night, with the match to commence at 7:20pm (AEST).
