Fremantle have informed young duo Odin Jones and Jack Delean that they will not be offered new deals for next year.

Jones' time with the Dockers comes to an end after a frustrating spell, with a pre-season injury that saw him require surgery on a fractured vertebra, putting a line through his 2025 season before it could start.

Drafted out of West Perth in 2023, Jones managed 11 games for Peel Thunder in the WAFL in his rookie season on Fremantle's list as a burgeoning ruck-forward hybrid.

Delean leaves the Dockers after not appearing at AFL level in purple, instead spending his time in the state league for the Thunder.

Across his two seasons with Fremantle, the South Australian played 28 WAFL League games, booting 33 goals.

“Jack has invested a lot in his football over the last two years,” Fremantle football boss Joe Brierty said in a club update.

“Unfortunately he didn't get an opportunity at AFL level, but we wish him well for his football future and thank him for his contribution to the Club.

“It's very unfortunate for Odin that he suffered a significant injury in the off-season.

“We had seen substantial development in his first 12 months at the Club, however following his injury in the off-season, he was unable to return to football this year.

“We will continue to support Odin in his rehabilitation and we thank him for his contribution to the Club.”

The pair of delistings comes after the Dockers confirmed duo Will Brodie (Port Adelaide) and Liam Reidy (Carlton) have requested trades to rival clubs.
