The Tasmania Devils have unveiled proposed images of their new headquarters in anticipation of their 2028 introduction to the AFL.

The facility, based in Kingston, south of Hobart, is expected to be up and running in October 2027.

Devils boss Brendon Gale said the submission of the renders of the club's training ground was a "significant milestone".

"The High Performance Training and Administration Facility is a critical piece of infrastructure for our club, it will be the workplace of our on- and off-field staff and an essential ingredient to our Club's success and sustainability," Gale said, according to News Corp.

"We are planning to be playing AFL and AFLW in 2028. The lodging of this application is in accordance with meeting these time frames.

"We believe that the proposal strikes the right balance between meeting the high-performance needs of elite football and integrating respectfully with the precinct's character, environmental values and role in the community.

"The submission of the application for a planning permit is the culmination of a significant amount of work from a range of parties working together to progress this project. Tasmania Football Club are grateful for the contributions of many to get to this point in the project."

It is believed that the state government is contributing $105 million to the high-performance centre, with the AFL chipping in the remaining $10 million.
