Dual premiership Kangaroo David King has urged Brisbane to try and snare Blues key forward Levi Casboult.
King believes the Lions need another tall forward to partner up with Eric Hipwood, who has booted 19 goals in 14 games this year.
Brisbane recruiting manager Stephen Conole said the Lions are prepared to either trade away its juicy draft picks or select young talent.
King strongly believes Brisbane should be looking at Carltonâs forward list.
âIâd be on the phone to Carlton every five minutes and saying: âOK, which one of your big boys are going to fall out of your selected 22 in 2021?â That would be the discussion,â King told Fox Footy.
âWould a Levi Casboult help you for 12 to 18 months? Heâs exactly what they need.
âI think they need someone that can crash a pack, a reference point to crumb and â we would never have said this about Levi two or three years ago â be a more accurate, reliable kick than what theyâve got at the moment.â
Hawthorn legend Jason Dunstall, said heâd be âvery carefulâ about splashing the cash to land a key forward if he was in Brisbane recruitersâ shoes.
âYou donât want to sell the farm. I know theyâre close to having all the pieces and maybe if you put a fit Joe Daniher in there that would probably take them to another level" Dunstall told Fox Footy.
"But Iâm loath to go with someone just for the sake of going with someone
âMaybe thereâs a different way of structuring the forward line they can work on, as opposed to giving up too much to getting a supposed key forward in.â
