Joe Daniher has taken a major step towards being ready for round one by completing match simulation training, according to 1116 SEN.
Daniher has spent a majority of the summer training away from the main group, played as a deep forward in the Essendon's intra-club match at their Tullarmarine headquarters today.
The 24-year-old played the opening seven games in 2018 before being ruled out for the rest of the year with osteitis pubis.
