Free agent Crow Brad Crouch is set to sign with St Kilda, according to SEN's Sam Edmund.

The Saints have reportedly been told that the star midfielder has chosen them as his home from 2021.

According to Fox Sports' Tom Morris and Ben Waterworth, St Kilda have offered a long-term deal with triggers to extend the contract to five seasons.

It comes after Kane Cornes reported this morning that St Kilda were leading the race for his signature due to Geelong's focus narrowing on Jeremy Cameron and Port Adelaide's interest waning.

Following his own inquiries, Cornes revealed on radio Wednesday morning that should Crouch return home to Victoria, he is likely to be clad in red, white and black next season.

“I was thinking yesterday before I made a couple of phone calls – what's going to happen to Brad Crouch?” he told SEN SA Breakfast.

“We spoke to Port Adelaide, they're out pretty much, as emphatically out as you can possibly be. Basically the terms of Brad's contract are too great at the moment.

“Then I read yesterday that Geelong are out. The Herald Sun reporting that Geelong are out with Jeremy Cameron and Shaun Higgins going to the Cats.

“So I did make a couple of phone calls and there is now a leading contender for the services of Crouch and it's the St Kilda Football Club.

“They're leading the services for Crouch on a really good contract. What I'm hearing is somewhere between $600,000 and $700,000.

“I haven't seen often a player deal with leaving a football club like Brad has dealt with it … Brad he just wants out for the biggest figure, he doesn't care where he plays, which is unusual.”

At 26 years of age and as a contested ball winner, Crouch would provide a shot in the arm for the still fledgling engine room at Moorabbin.
