Despite rumours surrounding his future all season long, Carlton star Bryce Gibbs looks set to remain at the Blues.

Gibbs, who is contracted until 2019, requested a trade home to Adelaide last year, however, the Blues and Crows were unable to come to an agreement for the 29-year-old.

Speculation had mounted all season that Gibbs would again request a move home to the Crows this trade period.

However, Adelaide list manager Justin Reid told reporters on day one of the trade period, the club will not be pursuing a trade for Gibbs.

"No one has requested a trade to the Adelaide Football Club so I think we have all moved past that," Reid said.

"Bryce is a contracted player so respectfully I think he is happy where he is."

Meanwhile, Reid said the club does not intend to part ways with Charlie Cameron.

"He (Cameron) is a required player for 2018," Reid said.

Cameron has requested a trade to Brisbane for family reasons despite remaining contracted for 2018.
