Adelaide defender Daniel Talia is in doubt for his side's clash with West Coast on Sunday afternoon after injuring his ankle against Sydney on Friday night.

Talia sustained an ankle injury in the first quarter of the match against the Swans but returned soon after to finish out the game, although scans have revealed minor damage to his foot.

"Scans have revealed only minor damage," Adelaide's general manager of high performance Matt Hass told afc.com.au on Tuesday.

"Luckily, we’ve got a nine-day break leading into (the) West Coast (game).

"We’ll do everything we can to get him up."

Due to playing the final game of the round, the Crows will have the luxury of finding out whether a win is necessary in their match on Sunday.

Should GWS lose to Geelong on Saturday night, Adelaide will have sealed the minor premiership before their match, and may rest Talia should he not be 100% fit.

Even if Adelaide don't finish first they cannot finish lower than second, which means they'll host a qualifying final at Adelaide Oval in week one of the finals series.

In other injury news, 19-year-old first-year player Jordan Gallucci will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing jaw surgery on Monday.

The midfielder fractured his jaw in the SANFL and will spend the rest of the season recovering.

"Jordan Gallucci received a pretty heavy knock to the jaw, which fractured it in two places," Hass said.

"It required surgery, which was done yesterday.

"All went well, but unfortunately he’ll miss the rest of the season."
