Greater Wester Sydney young gun Jackson Hately is reportedly being closely monitored by Adelaide, with the Crows looking ahead to a busy trade window, according to Sam Edmund.

Speaking on SEN's Dwayne's World, Edmund revealed that the Crows were looking into bringing the 19-year-old back to South Australia.

“He’s a big body, 190cm midfielder and he’s put of contract at the end of this year,” Edmund told SEN.

“He’s found it difficult to hold his spot in that talent-laden engine room that Leon Cameron has there and he hasn’t got a look in since Round 7.

“My understanding is the Crows have made Hately a priority. They’ve registered their interest in the 19-year-old.”

Edmund added that while Hately looks to be a promising target for the struggling Crows, a trade may see another onballer head for the door.

“They’re plotting their path to progress. They’ve got two first-round draft picks, but does Brad Crouch go? They’ve inquired about Jack Graham, so does he (Hately) join Matt Crouch, Rory Sloane, possibly Graham as well? That’s a lot of inside midfielders,” Edmund said.

Hately was taken 14th overall in the 2018 draft and has played just 12 games in two seasons with the Giants.
