Kane Cornes has taken another swipe at Collingwood a week after he declared they were "making up the numbers".

The Magpies pulled off one of the biggest upsets in their history by beating West Coast by one-point in front of 32,865 delirious Western Australian fans.

Collingwood players and fans took to social media to remind Cornes about his statement last week, however, the shock jock again to serve to the Magpies by suggesting they were "cocky" and needed to keep a lid on things.

“I didn’t learn. They were great and I apologise to all of them,” Cornes said on Channel 9’s Sunday Footy Show.

“But geez they’re cocky. Settle down. You haven’t won the premiership yet. Eddie (McGuire) is texting me, Jeremy Howe’s sending me tweets.

“Settle down, I got it wrong. Don’t celebrate it like you’ve won the premiership.

“I just said (on text) ‘congratulations Eddie, I’m an idiot, enjoy’."

The Magpies have a chance to set up a preliminary final meeting against Brisbane if they beat Geelong on Saturday night.
