The manager of GWS youngster Max Gruzewski has confirmed clubs have been in contact regarding the third-year Giant's playing future, with opportunities at AFL level hard to come by.

Gruzewski has played just six games under senior coach Adam Kingsley, including two this year, with most of his time in New South Wales spent in the VFL.

The 21-year-old booted 56 goals in his first two years at the state league level and has kicked a further 33 goals in 12 games this year to be looking at his second straight leading goalkicker award.

The young tall's strong form this season has garnered interest from rival clubs keen on bolstering their forward ranks, with rivals asking the question despite Gruzewski having a deal until the end of next year.

"Max has played excellent football at VFL level, no question about it," Gruzewski's agent Scott Lucas told Gettable.

"The Giants are very settled on the structure and personnel they have in the front six at the moment.

"We have had calls from clubs. We've had as many calls about Max as any other player on our list. We hear clubs talking about the need for forward power.

"He's under contract, and we've had some discussions with the Giants about how that all looks going forward. We're a long way from reaching any particular point."

Gruzewski joined the Giants via the 2022 AFL Draft out of the Oakleigh Chargers, showiung his value as a talent who can have an impact at both ends of the field with his vertical and marking strengths.

The interest in Gruzewski comes as rivals also circle his GWS teammates Jacob Wehr, Callum Brown and Leek Aleer, who are off-contract this year.
