Collingwood's forward woes have been well documented this season and the club could look to the Western Bulldogs to help solve their issues.
After the recruitment of Chris Mayne has failed to bear fruits thus far, out-of-contract Bulldogs forward, Stewart Crameri is reportedly on the Magpies' radar.
Crameri managed just two games this year as his season was derailed by a hip injury and is yet to be offered a new deal by the Dogs.
The 29-year-old said earlier this week he has had interest from rival clubs as his contract situation remains in limbo.
"I've had a little bit of interest (from other clubs), and I'll work through that with my manager and go from there, so I'll see how things play out," Crameri said.
"The doctors have ticked off (my hip injury), so I can't wait to start pre-season and have a 2018 campaign not to forget."
SEN's Sam McClure reports one of those clubs interested in Crameri is Collingwood.
“I think Collingwood are asking the question about Stewart Crameri,” McClure said on SEN on Wednesday morning.
“He’s out of contract at the Western Bulldogs. He’s just turned 29.
“His best and most consistent years with both Essendon the Western Bulldogs he was a mid-30s goal kicker (and) the Pies are looking for a partner for Darcy Moore to have a two-pronged attack up there.”
Crameri has kicked 70 goals in 42 games with the Bulldogs, but has played just two matches in the last two years due to his 12-month drugs suspension and his ongoing hip issues.
He booted 96 goals in 57 games with Essendon before joining the Bulldogs at the end of 2013.
