Collingwood rookie Charlie West has been confirmed to make his AFL debut this weekend against West Coast following a match-winning performance in the VFL.
West has continued to press his case for a senior chance in his first year with the Magpies, booting 24 goals from 10 games to start his year in the VFL.
The teenager kicked six goals in Saturday's win over Sandringham, with his final major coming after the final siren to win the game by three points.
The outing again placed West's name in selection contention, with Collingwood confirming this week that West will suit up for his maiden match on Saturday night at Marvel Stadium.
West was drafted out of South Australia last year as a promising 194cm forward, with his strong marking and accurate kick for goal among his top traits.
The forward was taken with Pick 50 in last November's intake, with Joel Cochran and Wil Hayes the others to join the Magpies via the National Draft.
Hayes is the only debutant for Collingwood so far this year, with West to become the second new Magpie to make their first AFL appearance.
The incoming West could see Craig McRae rest one of his senior forwards, with Brody Mihocek, Dan McStay or Tim Membrey all a chance to be considered for a break.
The Magpies will likely be forced into at least one change to face the Eagles, with forward Beau McCreery dealing with a hamstring concern from the weekend's win over St Kilda.
Collingwood will confirm their 23-player squad on Thursday night, with final teams to be named an hour prior to Saturday's 7:35pm (AEST) bounce.
