Collingwood premiership coach Craig McRae has swiftly rejected any links to Carlton.
McRae has fronted the media today, and has responded to reports.
The premiership coach also addressed rumours regarding his personal life.
"That's not true," McRae said.
"Geez, I'm caught up in a lot of things at the moment.
"I've got a contract here. I've just extended it, thankfully enough. And my best mate works there.
"It's not real. It doesn't make sense to me."
The links to the Blues came as Michael Voss' future at the end of last year was clouded as incoming CEO Graham Wright made his way to Ikon Park.
Wright helped Collingwood land McRae at the end of 2021 after the club farewelled Nathan Buckley.
McRae, ahead of his 100th game as coach of the Pies, also responded to rumours regarding his family.
"There's a lot of things that aren't true and I've addressed that," McRae added.
"It's a crazy world we live in at time. It's become a little bit annoying. It was nice to get on the front foot and really nice to have support from people who know my values and morals.
"I'm really comfortable in my values and morals, and what people say about me, I can't control.
"I hear things, and go, 'what's going on here?' This is factual, it was 10 seconds of a 30 minute meeting. It was just addressing the world we're in.
"There's heroes and villains. Wins and losses. And we're all caught up in that.
"We play the game, which is kicks, marks and handballs. And this is the other game. And sometimes that other game tries to get involved in our kicks, marks and handballs, which we try to educate our players around, and maybe I was a living example."
Collingwood won't unveil any debutants against St Kilda on Sunday, but McRae confirmed that former Swan Jack Buller will pull on the black and white.
Oscar Steene and Joel Cochran were very close to a debut, according to the Pies coach.
Darcy Moore (calf) will miss this weekend, but is expected to be in the frame for selection in Round 1. Jeremy Howe (calf) is likely to return after the club's Round 2 bye.
