Collingwood has announced a seven-man leadership group for 2021, with Scott Pendlebury to lead the club as skipper for an eighth consecutive season.
Darcy Moore is the lone newcomer to the group, with Steele Sidebottom, Taylor Adams, Jeremy Howe, Brodie Grundy and Jordan Roughead rounding it out.
Moore's addition comes after a breakout 2020 season where he earned his first ever All Australian blazer.
Sidebottom, Adams and Howe will all serve as vice-captains once again.
Pendlebury was humbled to continue on as captain in 2021
“It has been an incredible honour to lead the team over the past seven seasons and I am looking forward to the opportunity to represent the club again in 2021,” the 316-gamer told collingwoodfc.com.au.
“There’s no shortage of great leaders in our group, so I consider myself very fortunate to have the support of our vice-captains alongside our wider leadership group on and off the field.
“As a leadership group, we feel very privileged to represent our teammates and help drive the values of the club.”
The Pies face Richmond on Friday March 5 in their sole AAMI Community Series clash before opening the season proper against the Western Bulldogs on Friday March 19 at the MCG.
