How would these clubs look merged together on a guersney?

Tasmanian Premier Will Hodgman cheekily suggested a fortnight ago that Gold Suns should relocate to Tasmania, following two dismal performance in the opening two rounds.

If that were to eventuate, what would the guernsey look like and what would the team be called?

Well we have had a go and designing a Tasmanian Suns geurnsey and merged a few other clubs together for good measure...and a laugh.

Tasmanian Suns

(Yes, we see the irony in that name)

Tasmanian Kangaroos

The Roos have long been a struggling club financially and while they are close to clearing their debt at the moment, were very close to relocating to the Gold Coast several years ago.

Perhaps Tasmania is a better location.

Melbourne Kangaroos

If the AFL does want a team in Tasmania eventually and opts to start a new club, perhaps two struggling clubs will merge, such as the Demons and the Kangaroos.

The side may be called be the Melbourne Kangaroos and could adopt the navy blue of the Demons and the white of North Melbourne.

Melbourne Hawks

Melbourne and Hawthorn almost merged over 20 years ago. Here is how a guernsey of the two clubs could look today.

St Kilda Suns

The Saints, not known for their financial stability, could merge with the struggling Suns if they cannot sustain the club up north.

Carlton Magpies

It would never happen, but imagine what fans would say if these two bitter rivals joined forces!
